New Props for Prints – Frames!

Lots of changes coming up for ArtByDArt Prints, including two new sizes and the elimination of one of the old ones. The 8.5″ x 11″ size is going away, but I’ve added a 5″ x 7″ and 8″ x 10″ to go with the large, 11″ x 14″ size.  One of the reasons I decided to go with these three sizes is because it’s soooo easy to frame them! The new sizes of course need new pictures, and Hobby Lobby was having a huge sale on frames.  I picked up three frames and the prints look great in them!  The prints all have a white border around them, so you don’t even need to mat it.

Here’s a sneak peak of Victorian Lodgings in a frame for the first time anywhere!

My plan is to launch a print a week until I get them all done. Why am I not doing them all at once? Well, I’ve been following this podcast on art marketing, and this is the way they said I should do it.  I’m supposed to make one social media post, one blog post, and an email blast once a week. I think I have like four people on my email list right now. LOL. Luckily, I’m in contact with them, and plan to ask them if they’d be willing to be my guinea pigs while I figure out what I’m doing. Poor things!

The marketing plan suggests writing the copy separately for each type of marketing … email, Facebook, and blog, instead of using the same verbiage for all three. It has something to do with how Google ranks a sight.  It’s hard enough to come up with one compelling description and I’m supposed to do three?  I’m approaching it this way: I look at the art and write about it for one. Then I wait a couple of days and do the same thing for the blog post. And I’ll do it again when I start doing the emails, which may actually be next week. In fact, this very blog post is a fresh follow up on a Facebook post I made a couple of days ago.

Here’s hoping it works and I become a sought after artist overnight.
