Copyright & Legal Stuff
You are allowed to sell your Original Painting, physical Fine Art Print, or ArtByDArt Craft for as much money as you can get for them. If all my dreams come true, you’ll be able to sell them for a lot more than you paid for them, but hopefully you won’t want to.
I, Debbie Ainsworth, retain the copyright on all art I produce. Ooooh. That sounds menacing, but what does it mean? It means that I can sell prints of my original paintings, including commissions (negotiable). It also means that while you can sell the physical painting or fine art print, you cannot make copies of them (printed or digital) and distribute them in any form … even if you’re not making money from it.
My intent here is to keep dishonest people from either selling or giving away my art for free. Therefore, this is something most people will never need to worry about. Taking a picture of your art displayed in your home is okay. So is sending those pictures to your friends, and sharing them on social media. In fact, I’d love it if you included a link to ArtByDArt. Maybe some of your friends would like to buy some art.
